I like to remind all of my buyer clients of this simple yet important consideration. Whatever you decide buy it should have good resale potential! Why? Because we don’t know what the future will hold and we don’t know when the need to sell will arise. The need to sell can come about either through a personal decision in our own timeframe or through external pressures that are forcing the circumstance, which may or may not be in your complete control.
I encourage you to open and read through the selection below labeled “Re/Max Buyer's Guide”.
- For experience buyers, you’ll find an overview that may be helpful as a refresher. If you’re like most buyers you don’t do this every day and the refresh might help.
- If you’re a first time home/cottage buyer then this is a very important, if not a crucial place for you to start. It will provide you with some valuable insights so that you can avoid some of the big mistakes less educated buyers often make.
It’s important to me that when it’s all said and done and you’ve move in to your new real estate acquisition that you are a “happy camper”. The worst decision you could make, especially in today’s market, is to buy real estate only to have to turn around and sell it in six months. If this happens you will likely gain a very costly education, enrolled in the school-of-hard-knocks... best we not have to go there.
So lets take the time you need, at a pace that is comfortable to you, to make a knowledgeable purchase decision you will be happy with long-term.
